An Evening of Sonic Exploration: Upcoming Solo Performance

Writer's picture: Jair-Rohm WellsJair-Rohm Wells

I am thrilled to invite you to an upcoming solo concert that promises to be an evening of deep musical exploration. On Saturday, February 22, 2025, I’ll be presenting selections from my latest album "Neural Resonance: Tales From The OmniSphere". This album has been an incredibly personal journey, blending my love of jazz, ambient soundscapes, and modern classical music into something that feels both expansive and intimate. It’s been exciting to share this work with others, and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to perform it live in a setting that will allow the music to unfold and resonate in new ways.

In this concert, I will perform several of the album’s key pieces, including "Octavia’s Stories", "Quantum Shift", "Aeon Groove", and "Afro-Orbita". These pieces represent different facets of my sonic landscape, and each one holds a special place in my heart. I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about how these works function both individually and as part of a larger narrative, and I’m eager to explore them further in a live setting. The looping technology I use allows me to build intricate layers and textures, creating a sound that feels expansive and immersive.

In addition to the *Neural Resonance* material, I’ve also been diving deeper into Eberhard Weber’s solo work, which has been a longstanding inspiration for me. I’ll be performing a few select pieces of his music during the concert, bringing my own interpretation and voice to these timeless compositions. Weber’s ability to blend rich harmonic textures with complex, shifting rhythms continues to influence my own music, and it’s exciting to pay tribute to his artistry in this way.

I’m also thrilled to share that Bill Nobes will be handling the lighting design for the performance. Bill and I have been working together for about a year now, and I’m constantly impressed by his ability to elevate the visual experience of the music. The lighting he designs is not simply an accompaniment but an integral part of the performance, enhancing the mood and helping to create the immersive atmosphere that I strive for in every show. I’m looking forward to continuing our collaboration, and I believe his contribution will make a huge difference in how this performance comes to life.

This concert is shaping up to be a truly special evening, and I can’t wait to share it with you. I’m excited about the journey this music is taking me on, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to present it in such a meaningful way. I hope you’ll join me for an unforgettable experience.

See you there!
